Tumor Microenvironment (TME) Profiling Service
Our integrated Tumor Microenvironment (TME) Profiling Service delivers a holistic, spatially resolved map of the tumor ecosystem. By leveraging Spatial Transcriptomics, Multiplex Immunofluorescence, and Single-Cell RNA Sequencing alongside AI-driven bioinformatics, we reveal the complex immune landscapes and stromal interactions that drive oncology research. Designed for drug developers and basic science researchers, the purpose of this service is to transform complex multi-omics data into actionable insights that accelerate biomarker discovery, drive target validation, and optimize pre-clinical combination strategies.

What is TME Profiling?
TME profiling is the systematic characterization of the non-cancerous components within a tumor. Rather than looking at a bulk tissue sample, profiling identifies the composition, functional state, and spatial organization of:
- Infiltrating Immune Cells: T-cells, B-cells, TAMs, and MDSCs.
- Structural Elements: Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) and extracellular matrix (ECM).
- Vascularization: Angiogenic factors and endothelial integrity.
- Molecular Profiles: Cytokine gradients, metabolic checkpoints, and hypoxia markers.
Workflow

Our Technology Platforms
We utilize an industry-leading multi-omics suite to capture both the "what" and the "where" of the TME:
- Spatial Transcriptomics (e.g., 10x Genomics Visium): Map gene expression directly onto tissue morphology.
- Multiplex Immunofluorescence (mIF): Simultaneous detection of up to 40+ protein markers on a single slide.
- Single-Cell RNA Sequencing (scRNA-seq): Unbiased discovery of rare cell populations and transitional states.
- Digital Pathology & AI: Automated cell counting, neighborhood analysis, and proximity scoring.

FAQs
How many markers can you analyze at once?
Depending on the platform, we can range from 6 markers (standard mIF) to whole-transcriptome spatial profiling (20,000+ genes).
What species are supported by your TME platforms?
We offer comprehensive panels for Human and Mouse models.
How do you handle "Batch Effects" in multi-center clinical trials?
Consistency is our priority. We utilize automated staining platforms and include standardized control tissue (internal and external) on every run. Our bioinformatics pipeline includes specific normalization algorithms to mitigate technical variations between different processing batches.
Can TME profiling be combined with traditional H&E staining?
Absolutely. Our workflow typically allows for "serial sectioning" or "re-staining" protocols where the exact same slide or an adjacent section is used for H&E. This allows our pathologists to correlate molecular data with classical morphological features.

Sample Preparation Guidelines
To ensure the highest data quality, please adhere to the following:
- FFPE Blocks/Slides: Standard 4-5μm sections; blocks preferred for longitudinal studies.
- Fresh Frozen Tissue: Snap-frozen in liquid nitrogen and stored at -80°C.
- Fresh Biopsies: Must be shipped in validated media (e.g., MACS Tissue Storage Solution) on cold packs for overnight delivery.
- Minimum Dimensions: Ideally 5x5mm tissue area.
NOTE: Please consult with our technical team prior to sample preparation to obtain a detailed protocol.
