FT IR Based Analysis Service

FT IR based Analysis Service

Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT IR) is a powerful technique which is used to obtain an infrared spectrum of absorption or emission of a solid, liquid or gas. When IR radiation is passing through the tested samples, some of the infrared radiation will be absorbed by specific covalent bonds of functional groups while the other will get through (transmitted). The collected spectrum represents the molecular absorption and transmission, creating a molecular fingerprint for chemical identification. This makes infrared spectroscopy useful for several types of analysis. The FT IR spectrometer simultaneously collects high-resolution spectra over a wide wavelength range, which confers a significant advantage over the dispersive spectrometers, which can measure peak intensity only over quite a narrow range of wavelengths at a time.

The FT IR spectrometry can be used in all applications where a dispersive spectrometer was employed with improved sensitivity and speed. The FT IR spectroscopy is preferred over dispersive or filter methods of infrared spectral analysis for several reasons:

Non-destructive
A precise measurement method which requires no external calibration
Increased speed
Increased sensitivity
Greater optical throughput
Mechanically simple

Based on the advanced analytical instruments and professional analysts and technicians, our tech team can coupled this technique with various pre-separation methods, Creative Proteomics can provide, but not limited, the following aspects:

Chemical identification based on spectral differences of paramorph, homologue, geometric and optical isomers;
Identification of functional groups in tested chemicals based on the wavelengths of absorption;
Purity Estimation by investigating peaks of potential contaminants;
Track the chemical reaction procedure by comparing the peaks of specific functional groups;
Quantitative Analysis of chemicals by monitoring specific peaks
