How We Perform SEC-based Peptide Purity Identification
Size exclusion chromatography (SEC), also known as gel size exclusion chromatography, gel chromatography, gel filtration, etc. The stationary phase of SEC chromatography is a porous gel, which is only separated according to size, and the large components are eluted first.
For samples that are directly loaded for analysis, we have several requirements.
- If you choose to prepare your own samples and buffers, please note that the samples, pure water, buffer solutions and other working reagents that enter the instrument are all clear and transparent liquids that have been filtered through a 0.2 μm filter membrane and ultrasonically degassed (high-speed centrifugation if necessary).
- The peptide must be completely dissolved in buffer or other solutions, and the peptide must be stable without precipitation. Samples must be filtered through a 0.2 μm or centrifuged at 12,000 rpm for 10 minutes.
- Please tell us key information about the peptide isoelectric point, molecular weight, buffer or other solvent components, etc., to ensure the reliability of experimental results.
