Venom Protein Extraction

Proteins generally exist in the form of complex mixtures in the venom. The separation and purification of proteins is an arduous and arduous task. The primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary structure of a protein determine its physical, chemical, biochemical, physical and biological properties.

As one of the most widely studied molecules in biology, protein extraction has broad application prospects. From commercial products to research, the first step is often to extract the protein in the sample. The extraction process requires many steps to get the protein that can be used later, which is a time-consuming and laborious process.

The venom protein composition of different species is different. There are differences in the properties of different proteins, so it is necessary to choose a suitable protein purification method while taking into account the yield and purity.

Creative Proteomics provides you with a variety of options to help you develop the perfect extraction plan for a specific sample. The specific service of venom protein extraction includes the following two parts, please click the link for details.

Crude Venom Protein Extraction

We provide a variety of buffer solutions and extraction methods. You can choose direct stirring or ultrasonic treatment.

  • Isoelectric point precipitation method
  • Ethanol precipitation
  • Ammonium sulfate precipitation method
  • Ammonium sulfate precipitation method + heating method treatment method
  • Ammonium sulfate precipitation method + molecular size interception method

Venom Protein Concentration Detection

There are many methods for protein concentration detection, the two main applications are: BCA protein quantitative detection method and Bradford protein quantitative detection method.

Both methods need to prepare protein standards. After a certain time of reaction between the protein and the quantitative reagent, the microplate reader reads the OD value of the sample, draws the protein standard curve, and calculates the protein concentration based on the standard curve.

Other Detections

Many factors, such as protein size, pH, temperature, protein shape, ionic strength, structure, amino acid sequence, composition and charge distribution, are very important factors for protein function. The conditions at each stage of the purification and drying of the extracted protein must be considered. In addition to regular services, we can also help you study the physical and chemical parameters of some proteins, such as water solubility, emulsification, foaming and oil retention.

  • SDS-PAGE Electrophoresis Analysis
  • Venom Protein Yield Detection
  • Protein solubility analysis

Our Advantages

  • Maximize protein production and maintain protein activity
  • Low cross-contamination
  • The extracted product can be directly used in most downstream applications

Creative Proteomics provides a complete range of sample processing services before proteomics research, which can efficiently extract and separate venom proteins.
