GLRX Full-Length MS Protein Standard

Product Information
Protein Name
glutaredoxin (thioltransferase)
Description
GLRX Full-Length MS Protein Standard (NP_002055), Labeled with [U- 13C6, 15N4]-L-Arginine and [U- 13C6, 15N2]-L-Lysine, was produced in human 293 cells (HEK293) with fully chemically defined cell culture medium to obtain incorporation efficiency at Creative-Proteomics. This gene encodes a member of the glutaredoxin family. The encoded protein is a cytoplasmic enzyme catalyzing the reversible reduction of glutathione-protein mixed disulfides. This enzyme highly contributes to the antioxidant defense system. It is crucial for several signalling pathways by controlling the S-glutathionylation status of signalling mediators. It is involved in beta-amyloid toxicity and Alzheimers disease. Multiple alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding the same protein have been identified.
