DescriptionEHMT2 Full-Length MS Protein Standard (NP_079532), Labeled with [U- 13C6, 15N4]-L-Arginine and [U- 13C6, 15N2]-L-Lysine, was produced in human 293 cells (HEK293) with fully chemically defined cell culture medium to obtain incorporation efficiency at Creative-Proteomics. This gene is located in a gene cluster within the human major histocompatibility complex class III region on chromosome 6. This gene was thought to be two different genes, NG36 and G9a, adjacent to each other but recent publications show that there is only a single gene at this locus. The encoded protein is a histone methyltransferase, which may be involved in repression of transcription. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
