Pyrethroid Residue Testing Service

Pyrethroid pesticides are a kind of high-efficiency, low-toxicity, broad-spectrum insecticides, which are widely used in agricultural production. Such pesticides are applied in small amounts, are easily biodegradable, have a short residual period, and have a strong killing effect on germs, pests, weeds, etc. Due to their strong hydrophobicity, these compounds become organic pollutants distributed in the environment, which are easy to be passively enriched by plants, and can endanger human health through the food chain. Pesticide residue testing can protect consumer safety and promote food import and export.

Pyrethroid pesticides

Creative Proteomics has developed universal rapid detection technologies suitable for multi-residue pesticides in different food matrices, and can provide pyrethroid pesticide residue analysis services for manufacturers, enterprises, and government organizations. We strictly abide by the quality assurance/quality control plans and regulatory requirements of each country and region to provide you with support. Including but not limited to the following standards and methods: ISO, FDA/BAM, ASTM, AOAC, EU regulations, LFGB, DGCCRF, DM, JFSL, GB/T and SN.

Pyrethroid Residue Testing Service Technology Platform

  • Sample preparation method:

The QuEChERS methodology (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Robust and Safe).
Accelerated solvent extraction
Ultrasonic assisted extraction

  • Gas chromatography – Electron capture detector (GC-ECD)

The detection of pyrethroid pesticide residues is mostly carried out by GC with μECD (microelectronic capture detector). The GC-ECD method relies on the analysis of a second different column to confirm the identity of the analyte. The limit of detection (LOD) is 0.25 μg/kg. The limit of quantification (LOQ) is 0.50 μg/kg. The GC-ECD method has high sensitivity. When analyzing multiple compounds, it is necessary to ensure that all compounds can be baseline separated on the gas chromatograph, otherwise qualitative and quantitative cannot be achieved.

  • Gas chromatography - Triple quadrupole mass spectrometry (GC-MS /MS)

The LOD is 2.0 μg/kg, and the LOQ is 5.0 μg/kg.

Advantages of our pyrethroid residue testing service

  • Minimize processing errors while providing high recovery rates.
  • According to different samples, different extraction methods are adopted to increase the extraction yield and reduce the cost and time associated with pesticide separation.
  • Significantly diminish the interference from waste solvents and other chemicals.
  • High quality, high purity analytical standards ensuring accurate and reproducible analysis.

At Creative Proteomics, our analytical scientists are experienced in pyrethroid residue testing service. After communicating with you about the testing scheme, we will implement it within a quick turnaround time and provide you with an analysis report. If you have any questions or specific needs, do not hesitate to contact us.
